About Angela Romero
I’m Angela Romero, a seasoned technology executive turned entrepreneur. I come from a long history of entrepreneurs dating back to the 1920’s when my great grandfather sold marble fountains on a highway, to the 1940’s when my grandpa bought and operated a marble quarry, to the 1980’s when my dad built his general contractor business in Colombia. I emigrated from Colombia to the U.S. when I was 19 by myself without knowing English or knowing anyone and with very little money in my pocket. With an immigrant drive, I put myself through school, earning a bachelors degree by working during the day and studying at night for 7 years. I started my career in corporate, but my immigrant drive and family background led me to dive into entrepreneurship by starting a hospitality business - The Coral Clubhouse. I oversaw the end-to-end gut rehabilitation of a multifamily property (pictured left). I also secured financing, collaborated with architects and contractors, and managed the day-to-day operations as a short term rental portfolio.
My business philosophy is that if I take good care of my employees and customers, and have a winning strategy - business results take care of themselves. In my business, everyone, from our cleaners to our property managers, receives a bonus based on the percentage of profits the business receives in addition to competitive wages. This translates into my customers receiving the best experience. It's no surprise that my properties perform at the 97th percentile when compared to similar portfolios in the market. It’s this philosophy that I plan to bring to your business, your employees and your customers to magnify your legacy.
I also bring a wealth of corporate experience to your business. I started my career at Google and then went on to play a pivotal role in building two technology companies from early-stage to successful IPO at a 10 billion market capitalization, showcasing my expertise in driving substantial revenue growth through strategy, business development, marketing, and operations. My business has been featured in top business publications, such as Bloomberg, the Real Deal and National Public Radio. I hold an Executive MBA from Wharton Business School with two fellowships: Forté Fellow, awarded to the top 1% of female students and Perlman Fellow, awarded to the top 4 students in ETA.
I receive guidance from a collective of entrepreneurs and executives who share a passion for entrepreneurship and have a track record of purchasing and successfully managing companies across diverse industries. Our combined expertise and capital equip us to facilitate acquisitions, efficiently run businesses, and nurture their sustained growth over the long term.
